It is the not-too-distant future. Despite a seemingly typical suburban evening, something seems off. A couple struggles to communicate and the guests that turn up aren't much help. Amidst the gaslighting, they grasp for any sense they can find as things comically, tragically and inevitably descend further and further into the absurd.In a world where we're uncertain of what's real let alone true, where sowing division has been the name of the game, and where AI lurks in the wings, Ionesco's classic is more relevant to the human condition than it's ever been.
